Set along the Ocean, just past the Estate Section, and just 10 minutes from town, is the South Condos. Extending from Sloans Curve to Manalapan, the South Condos line the Ocean on the East and offer Intracoastal buildings along the West side of the island.
Oceanfront buildings are directly on the beach. Residents of these buildings enjoy deeded beach access, oceanside pools, poolside cabanas, spacious floor plans, and a host of amenities, such as doorman, tennis, party rooms and entertaining areas and garage parking. Residences in oceanfront building often command a premium price, and generally, the more ocean view, the higher the price.
Intracoastal buildings line the West side of the A1A, and feature tranquil views of the Intracoastal Waterway. Most are full-service buildings offering doorman, party rooms/library, pools along the Intracoastal, poolside lounge area, and often, deeded beach access via a path across the street. Garage parking in these buildings is rare, but most residents have assigned parking spaces with a few covered parking spots. Expect to pay a premium for residences with direct Intracoastal views, which provide beautiful sunset views.
Though the South Condos 10-minute drive from town, condominiums din this area often have expansive floor plans, deeded beach, and resort-style amenities such as poolside cabanas, golf and tennis. The primary draw, though, is price - condos here are significantly less expensive than in town condos, for comparable square-footage - lower price per square-foot - offering a great value.
Other features of the area includes beautiful walking and bike paths along the Intracoastal, a beachside shopping center with local restaurants and a brand new supermarket, two public beaches with seaside restaurants, tennis and golf, gourmet dining at the Four Seasons Hotel, dining and spa services at the Eau Palm Beach Hotel. And Palm Beach's world-class shopping and dining only 10 minutes away.
