The 400 Building, a towering white building of chic duplexes on Ocean Blvd., between Chilean and Peruvian Avenues, is one of Palm Beach's most architectural significant buildings. Designed by Edward Durell Stone, this ultra-contemporary building, known for soaring oceanfront duplexes and floor to ceiling ocean views, opened to much fanfare in December 1962.

The 400 Building was Palm Beach's first condominium building, and the first by an internationally-recognized architect. 

Designed in the Futurist - New Formalist Style of architecture, the building was created for the tropics, opening into a stunning all white central atrium, soaring to the open sky, with flowing water pools, and open air walkways creating a flow from the outdoors inside. 

The Town of Palm Beach recognized the 400 Building as a significant architectural masterpiece by awarding the building landmark status in 2012.

Setting this building apart is the stunning acqa blue rooftop pool set against a stark modern white backdrop bringing to mind Philippe Starck's Delano Hotel in Miami - the ultra chic Miami hotspot of the 1990s. 

The 400 Building's pool was the first rooftop pool in Palm Beach, and it's magnificent pool deck with it's clean, linear lines and simple, stark white lounge chairs overlooking the Ocean exhibits brilliant design that remains awe-inspiring today.
